FAQs

My teen is withdrawing and I don’t know how to get through to them?

There can be so many reasons for this, often as a parent we take this personally. Our young people can go through so many things whether its home, school, friendships or internal challenges. Often getting in front of someone they feel safe with can help them to open up and feel supported to work through their challenges.

How do I get through to my Teen, I am at a loss?

I get asked this a lot. The answer I believe is what can we look at differently to help build that connection. Somewhere along the way things have happened that disconnect us. By coming into this space, we can help unpack this and learn new ways.

How can I become a better parent for my teen?

There is no manual for this. The fact you are asking this question means you are open to discovering the answer. By looking at ourselves, our past(How we were brought up)  and how we show up currently can help us work through your challenges that potentially can have a direct impact on your parenting style.

What can I do as a parent to create a better connection with my young person?

Sometimes this can mean we have to have a look at ourselves first to see what environment we are creating. It could also mean getting involved in what your young person likes doing even if we might not like it (like playing an online game).

The weight that was lifted off my shoulders was enormous!

Reece is a legend at what he does, I grew up having anxiety but not knowing what it was at the time, as I got older it got worse and I started looking into it and what I could do about it. I didn't want to go to a doctor and be told by someone what he had learnt in a book and I found Reece who had been through it all and wanted to help others what he had learned. After my first session with Reece the weight that was lifted off my shoulders was enormous. I continued to have one on one sessions with Reece and have learnt so much from my sessions and from this group. I highly recommend that if you are struggling to reach out to Reece and let him help you through whatever it is you are dealing with.
